Archival Preparation (When Relevant)

Some book projects begin with finished files ready for printing. Others begin with boxes of photographs, letters, diaries, or historical documents that must be reviewed before a book can take shape.
When appropriate, I help clients evaluate and organize archival material so it can move toward publication. This may involve scanning and image repair, arranging materials while respecting original order, preparing basic finding guides, and advising on appropriate housing or preservation so materials remain stable during the life of the project.
In some cases, an initial archival review helps determine whether a book is the right form for the material and what scale of project makes sense.
